Chemnitz, Germany

Chemnitz is our home away from home. We went there for the first time after the Vancouver Training Camp in September and returned there after our Oberstdorf competition. It is a small city with a lot of history and we felt very comfortable training at the Chemnitz Skating Club. All the people we met were very welcoming. This was really important to us because we knew we would be spending a lot of time here as well as training at the Cricket Club in Toronto. Everyone took really good care of us – Ingo, his Mom and Dad, the people at the physio clinic, as well as the coaches, parents and skaters at the rink. Our German is coming along so each time we go back, we get better at communicating with everyone!
